4 Basic production types
Solid core WPC products consists of high density material and can only be used in application areas that does not have a weight restriction. Solid core products are stable and installed by either screwing down directly to the under laying support surface or in combination with a clip with regards to decking. Barod® solid core products are available in most common widths and/or thicknesses. Application areas: Decking, Fences, Benches, Pergolas and for certain construction applications.
The density of the material used for square hollow core WPC products is equal to that of the solid core and is commonly used in application areas where weight is not restricted. The hollow core WPC products are stable and are only suitable for installation with a clip to the under laying support surface with regards to decking. Barod® hollow square core products are available in most common “narrow” widths only, to guarantee stability. Application areas: Decking, Fences, Pergolas and weight restricted applications.
The density of material used for round hollow core WPC product is the also equal to the solid core and is commonly used in application areas where weight is less of a concern. The round hollow core WPC products are heavier than the square hollow core products due to the usage of more material. Barod® round hollow core products are mainly used on the wider width products to keep the stability and at the same time create a weight reduction compared to the solid core. Application areas: Decking, Fences, Pergolas and certain weight restricted applications.
The Barod® co-extrusion products are available in solid, square- and round hollow core. The core is a high density WPC material that in turn is wrapped in a plastic casing. The plastic casing can have a selected texture, color variation across the surface or just being smooth. Either hollow core or just plain solid core can once again be chosen based on the application area, requirements and preference. Application areas: Decking, Fences, Benches, Pergolas and for certain construction applications.
